With Bare Hands

During my personal experiences and as a photographer I encountered different people. The most simple, kind, honest and respectful are people who have less. Around them I feel that I don't have to play a role or to make them like me...I am just being human, open and respectful.

I seldom finish what I start...this is why this blog is so poor in images. This is how I am. I like more shooting, than posting, tweeting, marketing myslef and all these stuff...As my good friend and mentor, John McConnico said : "Marketing I am afraid is at least 80%, that is true of all things, not just photography"...and he is right. I have no idea how other photographers are doing it...when do they have all the time...

Well, I wanna start a project on people who work...who work with their hands. It is an ongoing project and I'll try my best to post as often as possible. I will call is With Bare Hands...It's simple, I'll not write a long philosophical text making it more interesting or comlicated or whatever...just a theme to show something I like and which is not showed yet...at least in my country.

Enjoy.

Exhibition about Moldova

I met two extraordinary people who came to Moldova last year and spent here almost one year. They were from Grenoble, France. A photographer and a graphician. He was photographing stories and she was drawing them. Amazing combination...

They started a blog while in Moldova, you can view it here:

Pablo helped me finding my motivation when I needed it. I'm very thankfull for all the interesting and constructive moments we spend together while on shootings.

Check out also his website. He has interesting stories from different countries and about different people.

Here are some photos and drawings that are exhibited in Grenoble. If any of you will be nearby, check the exhibition. It's worth it. I'd do it myself, but I'm too far away...

Street Photos

I try to make images during my way to work, as in Yellow post, or after work...that is to say after 2:00 p.m. I don't know why but it takes a lot of will to go photographing after 2:00 p.m unless I have to go somewhere: to photograph someone for PentruEa magazine , meet someone or other stuff. These were taken during my way to work.

Yellow

Yellow trees during autumn were my main subject few years ago when I just started with photography. But they were alone...forests, parks, gardens... Every photographer knows that with time comes the need for human figure or for what human builds. I hadn't take any images the day before I took these images. In the morning on my way to work I felt an enormous desire to photograph... Just a small essay on yellow.

July 21

I'm being lazy or busy. Busy because I study Swedish and lazy because it's been too hot these days...I guess. Anyway, here are some photos from today. I don't have a lot of time for stories or long term projects, so I'm mainly shooting street. I love it. Don't know why. It's great to put pieces of a moment together, I believe. Check out my friends blog. He is a French photographer doing his stories in Moldova. http://moldaviemoldova.over-blog.com/
